Miracle Journal

One of my dear friends is serving a mission and a few weeks ago when I was having an especially hard day she gave me a suggestion.
"Start a miracle journal. Everyday write down all the little miracles that I witnessed. Remember all the things that went right, not wrong. "

A cute notebook from the family I nannied this
summer that I write it in.

I started this ten days ago and it already has become a great blessing in my life!
Sure I still have really hard days where I just want it to end, but every night before I go to bed, I write down what good had happened throughout my day.

They can be very general, or even get pretty specific. Some include:

  • Going to the temple at 5 am with two friends
  • Knowing that my major is the correct choice for me
  • Sitting next to friends for a devotional instead of alone
  • Waking up on time so I can take a 7:30 quiz
  • Talking to my mom for an hour
  • Someone taking out the trash for me on a bad day
  • Getting a text from a friend I haven't seen in a long time

Even though I have bad days, this really helps me dwell on the good that happens instead of the bad, and really helps me start out the next day on a more positive note.
